This varies greatly from client to client. Anxiety and stress affect us physically, emotionally, and mentally. Symptoms may include anything from headaches, racing thoughts, rapid heartbeat, and gastrointestinal distress to nervousness, panic, irritability, and avoidance behavior. We also always recommend having a recent physical prior to beginning psychotherapy to rule out any physical health concerns.
